The story behind the title and lyrics.

Julie & Max ( father & daughter in the video ) went to a weekend song writing workshop at The Carrington Hotel in Katoomba, Alan Caswell and Lyn Bowtell were two of the mentors and on the Saturday night Max had a few red wines too many while talking to Alan and woke up with a monster hangover on the Sunday and the rest is history.

That is funny. I worked for Pat Drummond, a singer/songwriter who did a more than 10 year residency on a Friday night at The Rest Hotel in Milsons Point.

The residency finished when Alan Bond bought and demolished the pub.

Pat wrote a song called "The Rest is History" - the title of which was suggested by Alan Caswell...
