What is the symbol in front of price? Have we migrated to Euros?

On mine it shows "$". Check at the bottom of the page. My guess is that your "currency converter" got switched to Euros. It gives you a choice Euros, Pounds or Dollars in various flavors ;-)

Ha! I think something of the Aussie flavor of the place might be lost if they did...but I confess that I would not mind the more attractive shipping rates to where I live ;-) Hoping all's well with the startup tho.
