    White Falcon neck issue

    Greetings All,

First post here. I bought the GR-1SF kit a while back and have started working on finishing the body. That's looking great, but then I discovered an issue with the neck. There is a groove in it that runs all the way from the 2nd fret to the 12th fret, between the G and B strings. I have tried to buff it out with fine steel wool, but it's not working. It will definitely catch the strings when I try to bend. Any ideas on what to do here, or am I out of luck? Many thanks for the help...

    Hi and welcome cslough.

    Definitely not out of luck.

I think I would report it to Adam at Pitbull. You will need to be quick though - as the online shop will be closing soon.

    If it cannot be replaced:
I think I would try filling the channel with CA glue (superglue), and levelling it.
I would use masking tape to make a tight border around the channels (and around the frets). I would then fill the channels with the CA. Once dry, remove the tape. I would then use a cabinet scraper (or possibly a safety razor blade with taped ends) to level the CA to the fretboard.

Hopefully, when the fretboard is oiled, it will not be too noticeable!

Hopefully some others will give some other suggestions also.

Many thanks for the quick reply. I'll give the glue trick a shot and let you know how it works out...

What Trevor said in my opinion. Good luck with the build.
