Pics of my SSR-1 kit build. 40+ year player but my first build. From kit arrival, initial primer/sealer, paint/clear coat, copper insulation, assembly, and completion. After assembly and initial testing I had fret buzz so I straightened the neck, had to level the frets, crowned the frets, adjusted the action and intonation....she plays nice. I had a compatibility issue between the primer I used and the paint. 4 coats of primer, 4 coats of paint, 4 coats of clear coat....during wet sanding (light sanding) it IMMEDIATELY burned through but all not to fail because it gave the guitar a nice worn look in some areas....and chipped in other places. Overall I absolutely LOVE the guitar (an amazing kit - Thank You PitBull) and incredibly happy with how it turned out. Definitely more PitBull builds in my future!!
