Thread: Build - TL-1

Ouch, that's not something I'd be happy with. Personally, I'd bring that up with Adam. But saying that, I've never had an issue like this. Weird that it's in the grain and not a join.

    Hi and welcome Vivek.
I would get in contact with Adam about the crack and the tuners.
I did not get my Gotoh tuners with my tele box but there was a note on the invoice letting my know they had not been forgotten.
    I hope all goes well.

    Hi All,

Got the replacement body from Adam and it looks good on initial inspection. Will start the sanding process and go from there.also got the Grover tuners.

Glad you got a replacement body, that crack did not look great. Personally, I'd still try and wick some CA glue into it and clamp it up using some cauls to try and rescue it for another project. It does look like there's some weird stresses happening in that wood though so it might continue to shift or crack in the future.

I'm actually building a semi scratch using the neck from this kit and have run into an issue with dimensions. Any chance you're able to measure the pocket depth on the body? I have a feeling it's greater than 5/8" which is what I routed to. If my theory is correct the pocket would be routed to an even 20mm...

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing how your build goes!

    Hey Ross,

Was this the measurement you wanted?

Took measurements to help you determine the depth more accurately

    Hope this helps,
