I just wiped the cap with mineral turpentine. Its a very nice peice indeed. Glue spots not quite as bad as I thought. I'm thinking what the hell. Cant be too hard to glue the binding in place and straighten up the edge of the neck pocket with a dremel. Ditto pick up cavity - bridge pick ups fit ok when I pop the neck into slot. I'm going for a solid black back and sides and I reckon I could fill the small v-shaped gap between the binding and wood at the pocket (if it is still there when I clean up the edge if tge pocket- anyway). The kit could teach me a few things.
