Weekend didn't go as well as I had hoped. Sanded back the paint runs on the body from the previous coat which was okay. Got another coat of paint on and noticed some pretty bad orange peel happening, so I had to wait for it to dry and sand it back again. Its not perfect now, but it feels nice and smooth. Theres a couple of small spots which could still do with some sanding but they're really small. Hoping that a coat of lacquer and a good polish will hide them. Doesn't look all that sexy, but I feel like i'm slowly making some progress. Waiting for the rain to stop here so I can go outside and get a thin coat on.

One victory from the weekend, bevelled the headstock which i'm pretty happy with! Was going to go all the way around but I didn't want to get too close to the holes for the machine heads and potentially weaken the structural integrity of the wood.

I've swapped pick ups and done some other minor mods on guitars before, but with no real previous wood work experience or really even the correct tools, I'm happy with how its going. Just have to remind myself every now and then not to rush it.
