Noice! Kinda reminds me of New Guinea Rosewood.
I have no idea what it is, I suspect black butt or similar. I just love the character of the fissures and pressure distortions in the wood.

But, but, I want a dirty swamp Tele...
At this point it’s all theoretical. Those slabs are 25mm thick so I could do at least two decent tops with it.
My issue with an original design, simply put is designing it.
I have done a couple of original designs that end up looking very Strat or Ibanez RG.
