Looks good. Very classy and understated.

    Thanks Oli.
Just a collection of ideas gleaned from other folk's in my past attempts.

I checked the tracking on the 2 switches last night.
Seems the seller sat on them for 8 days before bothering to post them.
The rest is Aussie Post taking their sweet time delivering.
In the meantime I've put my Epiphone up on a 3 day sale on e-bay.
Had to make way for another guitar in the collection.
It's been sold and posted to Queensland...arrived last Friday.

    Switches are coming from NSW....eventually.

    cheers, Mark.

Just for the record... I didn't buy it!

I'm still trying "make way" for the two I'm building now!

McCreed I used the power drill for the small holes. I was intending to 'hand drill' the larger holes for the ferrules.
Didn't trust myself doing those with a power drill.
Yes S.M. It was less than half the price of the 'Stanley' alternative. A false economy in this case.
edit: If you look this up on the Bunnings site and check 'reviews' you'll see only 2 , both negative and one was mine.
Yes Simon, it's a day for drilling.
It was getting late when I was planning on a visit tomorrow for a longer drill bit to drill another earth hole but then a 'eureka' moment.

I can put the drill away for now.

Wish those damned switches would show up. 3 days past the ebay delivery window.

    cheers, Mark.
I bought the “Stanley” alternative. You’re not missing much. It only vaguely resembles the Stanley egg beater my grandfather and uncles used to own.
They certainly do not build them like they used to.

As long as the handle turns the chuck and the chuck holds the bit firmly, you should be OK.

I keep watching tool-tuning videos and keep wanting to buy cheap tools (that I'll probably never use) just to improve them and make them fairly decent in case I ever need to use them e.g. if I suddenly want to make a chest of drawers.
