I was wondering about the 12th fret double dot markers. I wasn't sure if the smaller radius would disturb them or not. You have answered my question. Although maybe going from a smaller radius to a larger might be a bit more radical. Would that even be possible?

Hi Dan. Well they are only plastic, not abalone or ivory.
I can't see why you couldn't use the same method to increase the radius.
12" is fairly flat anyway, but each to their own eh?

    cheers, Mark.

I was pondering converting one of my guitars from 9.5" (more or less, haven't managed) to 12" since I never felt comfortable with the smaller radius boards. Getting my G&L with the 12" radius was a revelation.
