I'm currently working from home also.
Question is though am I accomplishing anything useful?

    cheers, Mark.

Maybe something useful on your guitar projects?

    Welcome golfried.
Former ACT resident here (among a long list of other places)

Working from home until at least September for me. And then I will try to negotiate a few days a week after that.
The latter part of your reply is looking to become the new normal. A survey (don't know by whom) indicated over 30% of people working from home now due the covid 19, would prefer to continue after the restrictions are fully lifted.
Also, many employers have realised that productivity has not been negatively affected.

For me, it was the forced move from a private office to a hot desking office that killed most of my motivation to work at work. So many distractions, so much noise!

I am certain that I am MORE productive at home, at least for those very tedious admin tasks. No people to chat to, which is my main distraction - I can sit down at 8am, smash out a whole days work by noon and then when concentration levels drop I'm already ahead.

Also, I had a job that was advertised as a work from home position, and I did have to work offsite every day but had to drive to the office (on the other side of town) first. There was literally no reason for me to be there, but I spent three hours in a car each day. In the end the commute was so crushing I quit, but you have to wonder what would have happened if it had been work from home as advertised.
