    Ib7 7 string build

I got my kit and on the back of the neck on the heel side, the bottom sides round part hasn't been machined the same as the top side and it's preventing the neck from butting up in the back of the neck cavity. Is it necessary for the neck to go right into the back of the cavity or has my guitar been made to not do this?

Hi mate, best to post pics to illustrate the issue.
sounds like the back of the neck heel is a different profile to the pocket? It might just be a case of rounding off your heel corners or checking the corners of the pocket for any left over chunks from the routing that might be holding it out.

I will do some pics tomorrow arvo. In the meantime I've sanded and sprayed all my cavities black so when I put the floyd rose lugs in I don't have to tape them up and spray around them. Will do this 2-3 times I'd say. Preparing to setup the guitar so I know it works before I finish the body and neck. I've also allmost shaped that part of the neck to copy the top side but it's not quite there.
