I had one of the Peavey Tele copies (Peavey Reactor) - built in the USA using solid wood bodies. Probably 1995-96ish. It cost a little more than a Squier Tele but not much more. The Squires were using ply bodies at the time and the Peaveys forced Squier to up their game and move to solid wood bodies.

It was nice guitar, but not outstanding. Hardware was on the cheap side, but they had to keep production costs low somehow for the price. I fitted a SD Jerry Donahue bridge pickup which improved the sound somewhat. I was using my rack rig at the time, which really didn't bet the best out of it. I wish I'd kept it, but I sold it on after a few years. Nowadays, I could have made it a very nice guitar indeed.
