That sure would make light work of it.

I had about 30mins this afternoon just on dark and got the sander and 40/60 and 80 grit pieces out and attacked the front and the edges of the body of the Bass.
It took some work to get the binding off....but it is now gone.
I even used the 80 grit piece to do a little roll of the top edge by hand at the end.
I am back to work soon....so it will have to wait until I am home next to progress. (I like the colours and grain on the back of the body.)
Number 28 and number 29 are finished....this is number 27 and then the cupboard is bare....sad face time.

I am really not that good at finishing with wipe on Tru Oil and wetsanding. I sanded through the edges yet again....so the wheel of death (random orbital sander) hit the body again. Sanded bare...ebony timbermate. Then I masked her up in a slashing segment looking sort of style.....well I liked it.
Feast Watson Mahogany stain again....that stuff is so easy to apply. The pics are after the first lightly rubbed first coat of the Feast Watson Fine Buffing Oil.....so as not to spread too much stain on the bare wood.
I was dubious about the finish I would get on this.....but I have to say wow. Think I have found my finish for now on.![]()

That’s a nice looking finish, Ozzbike. Looks satin in the photos, how does it feel?

Here is the body with six coats of the Fine Buffing Oil....still wet with the sixth coat...she does dull a little.
One more coat tomorrow night after work, then let her hang for a week or so.
Nice finish under the hand as well.
