After looking at the electronics on the Fender I was wondering if there were after market preamp units with similar functions. And of course there are from Fishman. The Fishman Aura range. Very pricey though. Can get an OEM onboard unit as used by Martin and others ($250 cheapest I found), or the Aura Pro for $800+. There's also pedals which are a fair bit cheaper. I wonder if you could rip the guts out of one of those and mount it......
