Hi everyone !
Fed up with my job, I bought a bass guitar kit in november 2018 in order to become the new Fender. Unfortunately, my job started to become interesting again and I left aside my bass kit for a few month, still cherishing the hope it represented, sitting in my living room.
As a starter, here are a few photos of what got out of the shipment.
- My first thought : "What the hell is that enormous scratch right on the middle of the body ?? How could they miss such defect ?"
- My first action : Fill the bridge mass tunnel with wood filler.
After a while, I read a few build diaries and found out that every single kit had the same "defect" a realized this hole had a purpose.
- My second thought : "I'm going to create a build diary"
- My second action : drill the bridge mass tunnel again
I think the kit is now fixed and back in the game.
The rest of the kit was really as expected. The pieces look good and as a beginner, I cannot notice anything bad or cheap. So I'm quite happy !
Next step : sanding sanding sanding sanding
PS: I'm working in my living without any suitable workshop or tools.
