As it happens I'm awaiting the arrival of my 3rd Pitbull build, a TL-1R.
My approach will be the same as previous.
Get the kit put together to the point where it plays well up and down.
Start with getting the neck straight and all the frets levelled.
Mark out the scale length to locate correct bridge position.
Install all the hardware and get it all working.
Only then I'd consider breaking out the surf green.
(I already did my squier that colour once so I'll go a different route this time)
