ive had some spare time this arvo and made some router jigs for the neck pocket, pickup and the f hole. Ive finished the fretboard sanding got up to 2000 grit w/d and sanded with some gum turps and its come up like a mirror, no coating on it just sanding it looks and feels amazing
This is fantastic work Adam. I'm enjoying every minute of it. I do feel like you've made life a bit difficult for yourself with the shape of the neck pocket. I would have gone a more normal shape and extended the fretboard down for the wave at the end.
That said if you pull it off this is going to be spectacular. Going by the craftsmanship so far I'm sure you'll be fine.

Thanks sonic, i figured the more timber face to glue the stronger the joint will be. The project is all about learning and to give me something to take my mind of work, theres been a lot of YouTube watching and trying to figure out if i can do things a bit different to the norm. So far ive exceeded my own expectations especially with the neck shaping, its not so scary anymore

neck tenon sonic was right, it was the hard way. Lots of swearing, done with chisels and hand saws. One bit broke off wich i managedto glue back on
