I've tried Meguiars Ultimate compound to remove scratches on the lenses on my specs.
(probably would have tried toothpaste, but you only live once).

So I probably wouldn't hesitate to use it on a cavity cover.

Good point as I have heard toothpaste is also a good cheap alternative for polishing faded headlights.

Ok, cool. Will definitely try that. I have a spare cavity cover somewhere that I can test it out on.
