In the meantime, the neck pickup cavity is too big for the mounting ring. Trying 4 cut and sanded dowels glued to the corners so the screws for the mounting ring have enough wood to catch. I have no idea if it will work...will wait until tomorrow for it to dry. On the last kit I did I just made bigger mounts from scratchplate material so I will go back to that if this fails
