    Those J Bass pickup routs are not cut for upgrades and quite often need a bit of reshaping to fit the better PUP's.

    To add to the confusion sometimes the Bridge PUP can be wider than the Neck one. Quick check with a multi meter usually sorts them out with the higher number destined for Bridge position.

    The thing is the Model Js are the same exact size and spacing as the kit pickups.
