Interested to see what difference that will make. I'm way too clumsy for this narrow a string spacing .... :-(

In the meantime I'm still re-working my neck and setup and the more I work on it, the more things I notice on the fret board itself, that need a little more work.

I'm far more happy with my fret leveling this time round. Got the neck almost completely flat and then mostly I just needed to tap home the offending frets, then a light file and good polish.

In the process of this I notice that the fret board is very dry and rough, (and quite unfinished at the end over the body), which leads me to ask ...

What do you guys do to 'finish' the fret board nicely ?

Wax ? (to fill all the little grooves and holes).
Lemon Oil ?
Hydrate type products ?
lacquer ?
sand and polish ?
Something else ?

Cheers in advance for any info ...
Witto.
Ive had great success with satin wipe on poly. A few coats will give it a slight sheen whereas a build up of coats will help fill the imperfections. Its very easy too apply with a rag too as its so thin.
