The only thing to consider is that the bridge plate covers the enlarged hole. The edges of the existing hole are close to the edge of the plate. I'd locate the bridge first and them make those mods. Same with the control platess it has to match up with the scratchplate which has to match up with the neck pocket

Yes very smart, will take my time and follow your advice, I definately want everything fitting. The upside is that I will probably cut a custom pick guard, dont know yet.
