    Wayno.
Cheers, I tried doing it myself with the Dremel, disaster. I took it up to a Mister Minit and they charged me $16. Not perfect, but far better than my efforts.

It looks great in the pictures, I made a truss rod cover out of the 3ply laminated scratch plate on my ES-3 , but didn’t even try to engrave it. Great idea with Mr.Minute though.
    Wayno.

Finished all the wudtone bottles. all 4 of them. The top coat was an ageing gloss. I can see its given the binding an amber / yellow effect but not sure its actually changed anything on the body. So I'll give it a while to go off fully, clean up the binding again then start on the hardware. In the mean time, just a bit of a mock build.

Me, I wouldn't touch the binding from here based on that pic, to me the tone is totally in tune with the rest of the finish.

    Beautiful work right there

    Cheers guys.

As for the binding, maybe leave the f holes how they are, as they are a major PITA to work with, sides will need a bit of a clean, but agree not all the way back to gloss white.

The answer was not long, all went a lot smoother than expected.

Its in one peice but a long way from finished, need a new nut, final polish, and do some headstock decals. Probably some new tuners as well. First time I've used the ones in the kit. Can't say i'm very impressed, feel 'orrible. Want to try and find some that will fit with vintage style jade/ivory tulip buttons. Also some different vol and tone controls, the silver stands out like dogs you know what.

Good work on the wiring, i'm really not looking forward to that part of my build.
Agree with you about the tuners and knobs, the quality of the rest of the finish deserves the right finishing touches.
