Here's a hand-drawn version of the 1966 Fender Standard Telecaster wiring-diagram I found in my Guitar Player Repair Guide book, feel free to use this if you're in the process of doing a Telecaster build, hope it proves useful, note; it may not be necessary but make sure you include a ground wire that links the shields of the volume and tone pots together:
