Can i use this as a finish

Ive got this drum left over from some hardwood floors and stairs, it is a tungoil and would be a semi gloss finish.
Is there any reason not to use it on a guitar,

There is a Tung Oil finished guitar in May’s GOTM. Maybe seek advice there?

OliSam has used Tung oil quite successfully in his builds Adam, pm him for some pointers.

You'll have to take it out of the tin first. HTH.

Yep. I use it and like it a lot.
Check out the neck on my Tele deluxe and the whole body of my es-2v
Oh. And my artist LP neck can be seen in some shots.

I think the neck finish achieved with Tung oil is just awesome.
