Clear coat on the back not as smooth and flat as front but I would be happy to own it.

How did it sound? No buzz or hum from neck PUP?

Yes, the whole thing was painted purple with a brush first, both sides have brush marks, but the surface on the dots, as they are applied by the blunt end of a brush, are nice and smooth on the front.
I was in such a rush to finish it as the bus was leaving today, it was hard to check for hum. The only time I could play it was last night about ten thirty! But there was no noise at low volumes, even up close to the amp, actually had a nice warm sound with stock pickups.
