Well, a quick test of parts reveals a small problem, the 5-way switch is too tall for the body thickness of the guitar and I won’t be able to fit the rear cover plate. I have chiseled a small trench to sit it in, about 2 mmm deep. Yep, still sticks up about 3 mm. Looking on the internet I have found a similar switch with folded down terminals, unfortunately the terminals on the supplied switch are part of the circuit board and can’t be folded down. So I went down to my local guitar store and bought the other type for 10 bucks and it fits perfect.

I had a similar switch issues with the orphan problem child IB -1 I got from Tony. I ended up filling the switch slot with a rose wood blank from the end of the fretboard and mounting an on/on/on miniswitch.

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.
