Give Aus Post a call. From what I can gather after 10yrs in the mail order biz is that often they will "pre- enter" tracking numbers as arriving at a destination, then when that crate doesn't make it onto the plane/train/pidgeon they have to take them back out. Aus post is the laughing stock of world postal systems.

It got returned to Adam as they said there was a problem with the address label, which apparently wasn't really the case.

It's back in the mail stream now.

    Aaaaaand it's here!

Very happy with the quality of the kit.

There are a few differences to the pics on the website, but nothing that worries me. The differences are the bridge (intonated wraparound vs badass style), and the nut (which is black). However I plan on getting a Wilkinson Bridge, and also getting a bone nut.

    Unpacking:

    Body:

    Body grain:

    Headstock:

    Fingerboard:

I then went ahead with a mock build. All the bits are there.

Only thing I will need to be wary of is the neck fit in the pocket. There is some sideways wiggle room, so I will need to be certain to glue the neck on straight. May need a shim along one of the lateral walls of the pocket once I work out exactly where the neck needs to sit.

Unfortunately I'm working this weekend, so will have to wait until I can get time to really sink my teeth in.

Nice. As it's come by air, I'd let the wood settle for a few days before doing anything with the neck pocket. It's gone through quite a lot of temperature and humidity changes. You may find the joint becomes tighter or looser (or it may just stay the same). Even so, its worth waiting a few days before tackling the neck joint.

Thanks for the tip Simon. I won't be doing much until next week anyhow.

    Trying to decide on Tuners.

I want vintage style with white/pearloid buttons.

The plan would be either some Klusons or Grovers as below. The Klusons will need 10mm adapter bushings

Any thoughts? I think the Grovers are more akin to classic Gibbo tuners

The other think I'm thinking of is a tortoiseshell pickguard, but will wait till I stain the body
