no worries. I'd tape off the surrounds of the neck pocket when you set the neck so no glue touches the lovely glossy finish

Wow! Dress it up and it looks even better! Well done! Fingers crossed on the solder joints... you could plug it in to an amp, and lightly tap the pickups with a screwdriver to check it works.

From the sounds of it, you may need to check all your joints. The solder should be bonded onto the lug and the wire. Here’s one I prepared earlier...
Not the neatest, but you can see the solder has completely flowed into the holes and soaked through the wire. Hope that helps?
