I'd try and raise the body slightly off the cardboard when spraying. Its all too easy to spray slightly under the edge so that you get a line of clear where the body and the cardboard meet, which you then have to sand down. Not really an issue if you are only spraying the top or bottom, but if you are also doing the edges at the same time, then I would raise the body up slightly.

Obviously use something soft that won't mark or adhere to the finish. When doing the back, you can place supports in the neck pocket and pickup routs, but you can't use that method when doing the front. So maybe just a smaller bit of cardboard under the body is easiest.

Cheers Simon, I have noticed when doing the edges it can get a little stuck, didn't think of any of the above methods! Will def do so for the finishing layers!

So it's been quite a while! Just laid the final layer of finish! Setting of the neck next, then to hopefully have no electrical gremlins this time round! I'm hoping to finish before Christmas haha

Thanks Waz! It's been a bit depressing having so much Uni and work ATM that I haven't had time to get her finished soon hopefully!

    Very 1970's colour scheme.

From memory that shade of purple was the 'in' colour about 1975 as I had a pair of black and purple shoes to wear at my eldest sister's wedding that would have been a perfect match.
