Neck is now on. Went with it fully recessed as with it in the correct Rick postilion I judged there was enough surface area being glued.
Setup against rear PUP (after glue applied) is shown with bridge lateral inclination at the horizontal, and the strings can easily be set to the correct position for the JPUP.
Neck shows that there are no serious gaps in the fit, even though it was a tad slack because it was recessed.
Couple of the finished article scratch of the body will be hidden by the pick guard.
Picture of the pad I used on the body during clamping. Did a dry run with wood with cardboard pad but the cardboard channeling caused a slight marking of the finish, adding bubble wrap cured this.
Wiring done on template. To save routing the body I have used military standard push fit contacts (gold plated) so that the pups can easily be disconnected.
Also used the screening from standard UHF aerial cable which I will use to screen the pup to control area tunnels.
Getting there. A few more coats to get the finish I want.![]()
Looks good,

Not the easiest, but apparently Black Magic Woman is hardest to do. Ended up with a "wax" finish after the last top coat application. Phoned Andy at Wudtone for advise. Ended up with a quick once over with wire wool and another coat and all is ok. The Dark Ebony on the neck is a dream.
