After much deliberation I'm posting this one here - I'm sure a few of you will think it belongs in the ugly thread I present the Hagstrom Fantomen.

Its different. What I've found is that its really hard to do something new that isn't somehow rooted in the classic shapes. This is a pretty cool attempt IMO.







That I love Hagstrom guitars has no affect on my judgement here either.

It's like they are trying to copy a Gibbo RD Artist but have squared off the corners to avoid the lawyers.

Thats a fair interpretation. Their most successful model is pretty much an LP.

That truly is a beautiful guitar, I saw that on Facebook yesterday. Not sure about the $7k price tag, especially since it's 2nd hand!!

Good to see no swimming pool rout under the scratch plate as is so often found on many Strat's which contributes to loss of tone.
