Gotta love Aussie Post....my big box of tricks has arrived a day early.![]()
Here is a trick....
https://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/...ss-guitar-kit/
and...the body...and bridge. Mmmmmm.
That saves on one issue I was tossing up over....buying a three point bridge to look more original.
I have read some horror stories about three point bridges....and two good fixes.....the easiest one that appeals to me and seems to work is epoxy resin to hold the bushings into the body. Just have to check my grounding before I slip, slop, slap.
The PBG piccies also made it look seriously like the block of raised wood in the middle is just glued on.....in the flesh it is not....the top is carved to the finished shape....wow.
I love the fit in the neck pocket. The fingerboard is awesome....nice grain in there. I like the headstock......just need some piccies to carve the proper epiphone shape from.....off to the music shop with my phone I think.
Thanks Adam for the bits and pieces in the box from my BG 46 build.
Busy sandy hands now.![]()
kit looks great Ozz. The kit link has a standard screw in bridge, how come your's is a 3 point bridge ?

Yep my point exactly....not whinging.....was tossing up to do it anyway...and that makes it more original.
I also just noticed that the kit only has three pot holes on the top and no input jack hole....noted that it is on the side through the control cavity....less original....mmmm....maybe a black recessed Tele style jack from Real Parts maybe.
I google imaged thunderbird and the epiphone with 4 control knobs has the jack on the bottom edge. I prefer the jack on the side of the guitar, get a black tele style cup jack will look great. Means now the control cavity is bigger than it needs to be so may be able to fit a battery and active system in there probably if you chose that option.

yeah shape looks good. There is a dimensioned drawing so sure Pabs could cut you one. Get a good engraver to engrave a logo for it
