    Agree with everything Wokka says here. Need to add one thing though, don't try to cut at full depth in one pass. Many shallow passes will produce a much neater outcome. Also, if you are removing bulk material, drilling out with a spade or forstner bit is a good way to prep. That way the router doesn't have to work as hard and you put less stress on the surrounding material.

    Yeah was probably a bit much on the bit. I did do practices before at the same depth, but on pine and it seemed to handle fine hence I went with one cut. Didn't factor the more dense timber :/
    Completed builds: GR-1SF - came up a treat!
