hey guys just confirming as i fitting the shielding tape do i do the bottom also or just the sides like the pic.

Before you go to solder the ground/earth wire to the copper shielding foil, check with a multimeter that you're getting continuity all over it if you're using multiple pieces that are overlapping, if you find an area that's not showing continuity, you can fix that by soldering where the pieces overlap.

no worries Brokin that's what we are here for to help builders with any questions. Solder the earth wire from the bridge post to a common earth point, usually back of the volume pot.
From memory you can wire this with 2 volumes and 1 master tone or think the PBG diagram is 1 master volume and 2 tones

We often provide guidance as well as thread jack! One thing to also remember is to add the shielding to the underside of the covers for your control cavities, and make sure the you have some contact between that and the shielding in your cavities as this will complete the shielding around your controls. Not sure if we mentioned that through the Thread Jacking already.

I'm envious that you've gotten so far in such a short time!? My first build is still going and I started 18 months ago!

Yeah, when you shield, keep in mind you're making a "cage".
