Pics of the first 2 coats of paint on the body...the camera didn't pick up the metal flake so well, but damn it's looking good...
The waterslide decals for the head stock I ordered from Rothko and Frost online.
Hopefully with a couple more sunny days I can make a little more progress.

The Kelecaster! I love it Kel, I think with the metal flake you'd need to get the light at type right angle or do a macro shot of it. Looks great, I take it the sides and back are going to be a contrasting tone or natural?

The sides and back are going to be the same metallic flake, although I did tape the binding because I think that almost cream color would be a good contrast...I'm looking to go with a tortoise shell pickguard.
    Glad you like!

I'b be almost tempted to go with a matching cream Pickguard to help highlight that flake job, but there is something classy about the tortoise shell. Look forward to seeing the build progress.

I thought about a cream pickguard when I was considering purple metallic flake (to match my Ibanez S470), but fell in love with the D'Angelico SS with roughly this same layout.

Thanks! I was going to go with a wax rubbed finish, but I'm leaning now towards a clear coat gloss...time will tell

Yeah, I can understand why with the look of that D'Angelico. An axe I continue to lust after, though will probably never get to play
