Hi Rafael, welcome and congrats on picking a nice kit.
Yes, the string tension holds the bridge in place on these, be careful not to bump it too hard once you have it all set up or there goes your tuning and intonation. thats the way they made em back in the day. I have never managed to knock mine out of postion so don't worry about it.
I used a different pick up on mine but still, its only a tiny bit off and the plastic does flex a bit so there wont be a huge gap. Again, thats how they made em back then.
Shielding....you don't. you guessed it....thats how they made em back then. I get very little noise from either of my hollow bodys that aren't shielded. I use shielded wire when ever I can even when I can shield cavities
