Starting to get there but not without further drama, picked up the rattle can of clear, shook the sh1t out of it and fired off a blast into the air to make sure there was a fine spray.
Edited to add the binding is masked
Hit the back of the Dog with it and bugger me, it was a can of bright yellow with a clear cap, note to self, check the label every time.
Grabbed the black and coated over the yellow strip straight away and all is good, phew.
