Yea I had looked at a new one and was told only the beige ones were available from Fender atm ( or so the shop said) and as I have a policy of burning anything that even resembles beige a paint job would have been needed. When this came up for 1/2 new price ( was missing the trem arm but a strat one fits if I ever want it) I couldnt refuse. It has a odd bunch of strings on it as the previous owner was looking for a dgent machine. Will get a new set of strings this week.

Btw, there's a couple of really good set-up sets of instructions that are easy to find online - let me know if you have any issues and I'll see if I've got any of the info at home.

If my memory is correct, those types of guitars have a shorter scale-length than a Strat, pretty sure it's a 24.75 inch scale, but could be wrong.

Be still my thumping heart, that is exactly the same as my old Bass VI but for the age and the brand on the headstock.

I am sweating an a kit for this one becoming available so I can complete my tonal palate

Thanks Dave. it was odd, I watch a couple of trading/sales groups on Facebook but usually when a guitar comes up that interests me they are in Melbourne or Sydney and pick up only, I couldn't believe this was 2 suburbs away. Oh and he threw in a Dunlop Crybaby Wah because he couldn't find the trem arm

got a trem arm today from local shop for $8 ;D. I asked the shop for set of strings and he said "You are one of 2 people I even know who owns one, so, no I don't have them" LOL Ordered 2 sets off Ebay today
