Little progress; applied the third coat of undiluted Tung oil. I keep around a week of curing between coats so this is a slow process. But next week I will glue the neck in and create something to hang the complete guitar so it will be easy to continue with the coats.

One question; after how many coats should/could I start buffing? I have bought double zero steelwool but I'm a bit in doubt if this will be the correct stuff to use to buff...

Today I glued the neck in. I ordered a small bottle of glue with my kit and I used a little brush to apply the glue to the parts of the neck and body where they touched.

I made a block of wood with spacings to protect the frets and that worked pretty well:

I let it dry for almost 4 hours and this is the result:

Wow kick that is looking awesome. It is like a dark cherry burst and that is one of my favorite color schemes for guitars.. the end is near.. can't wait to see it all shined up.. great work..

I have to say Kick - you've done really well here. There were plenty of issues with the finishing, but now it looks awesome - well done. Can't wait to see some gloss on it

Great job Kick. It's a monumental event getting the neck glued in. You're on the home straight and love the colour
