I'm pretty sure that the Tonerider Pure Vintage are the same pickups as the Squier Classic Vibe ones so there may be a bit of name confusion going on

Quickest of updates, the pickguard to go with the aged and relic end product has arrived.

I'm actually flipping stoked with the feel of this already!!

I've heard that too DK, but any squier I've pulled apart has two or one ceramic bar magnets per pup rather than alnico poles like the Toneriders

    Hard part is done now!!!!

    Hard for two reasons....

1: getting it done right so it doesn't look fake and tacky like a lot of 'relic' bodies you see around that are just sanded.....

2: smashing up $200 worth of perfectly applied Nitro was almost heartbreaking at the start.

while the overall effect is uber cool and congratulations on how its turned out, i am not sure that I could bring myself to do that to a finish i had just slaved over.....I'm a wuss like that. I get cranky over simple fingerprints on a shiny finish.

Makes me think I should have have just left my damaged Swampy Tele build as it was and say it was going to be reliced all along. Too late now as I have gone back to refinishing and only half way done.

Like the shade of blue happening here.
