Looking good with the pearloid scratch plate.

Judging from the latest photos it would appear that the back is made from Basswood not Ash as it does not have as much grain definition, and for what little grain there is it looks like the basswood on the back of my Tele. And yes, the up to 5 timber sections glued together do not help with getting an all over even grain pattern either. Still looks good.
