Usually I scrape the bindings clean when the guitar is finished.
Also, I tend not to bother with masking. I find It easier to carefully wipe any finish off the bindings before it cures. This makes thefinal cleanup scrape a lot easier.

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....
