    Ciao dall'Italia

Ciao a tutti e buona giornata!!!

    Hi David. Welcome.

My Italian is very limited (non existent) but it looks like you are looking at a Les Paul with Benson pickups?

Hope someone can translate so that you end up with what you want.

    Cheers (Ciao), Waz

Ciao Davide, welcome to the forum.

I would suggest that you do look at changing the pickups form the ones that come with the kit. I would suggest you look at the Tonerider Alnico II pickups as they aren't expensive, but give you 95% of the tone that the high-end pickups give.

New and recent ES 335s and 339s normally come fitted with Gibson's Classic '57 pickups, which were their previous attempt at recreating a PAF style pickup. Obviously, original 2ES335s came fitted with PAF pickups! The Tonerider Alnico II pickups are PAF style pickups and will get you closest to a standard Gibson 335 sound. Obviously a Les Paul is a solid body guitar (unless you choose an ES-2V kit) so you won't get quite the same sound from it as an ES 335, but they are quite similar. But if you like an ES 335 sound, why not try an ES-1 kit? Or don't you like the larger body of a 335 compared to a Les Paul?

For others (like me) who can only understand a bit of Italian, here's the Google translated version of David's text:

Hello to all members of this wonderful forum, my name is David, I am a cook and I'm trying to learn to play classical guitar. Meanwhile I write in my original language then I think everyone will have a translator on the computer.

I would like to build me a Les Paul guitar, the colors make me what I say and make it unique and special, because it will be all done by me !! I have one problem that I pose, that is, if already equip other types of pickups, in any case, I try to just such a les paul sound or as pickup gibson ES 339, ES 335, the sound they make these guitars I really like . I'm undecided for pickups benson or a set of others but do not know which would go well for me. But then how to play the standard pickups in the kit? I read around that someone advised to change but do not know if he was referring just to the pitbull guitars kit !!
Hello everyone and good day !!!

Thanks so much! I was watching as a kit LP-1S, fascinated me the color of the wood to be honest. Gibson guitars 339 emits a great sound, and you can do different types of music, I'm studying guitar and I'd like something like this. So the pickups of the kit are not going well? That the name adopted pickups Tonerider? That the gibson guitar 339 is a cross between a Les Paul and ES335 as measures, in sound approach slightly. thank you so much

When you buy other pickups they will then come anyway even those in the kit?

There is normally an option to buy the kit without the standard pickups if you want to fit alternative pickups. It saves you a bit of money, not a lot, but you also save a bit on import duty as well, so it all starts to add up. You can buy your replacement pickups locally, rather than import them from Australia. I do.
