    good option Fretty, also Ponch could reshape the body a bit and maybe give it a Jag shape. With the swimming pool route and tummy/elbow cuts should lose a bit of weight.
    Otherwise get a custom build out of paulownia, I got a paulownia LP and it's featherweight !

    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Ive got a surfboard build out of paulownia that I'm about halfway through - I'd never thought of using it for a scratch body build! It's great to work with and tougher than I thought it would be given how light it is.
