Yeah, i left it as is. I love the raw look. I will be getting another one and will clear coat it to bring out the grain with a darker stain.
Just wondering how it will cope in a live and sweaty environment?
Have seen a couple of guys on the forum use boot polish as a finish as it contains wax type properties which probably help to seal the timber from moisture penetration and many others including myself have used the Dingo Tone Wax on Rose Wood Fret Boards and some have also used it as a final polishing agent. Could be worth looking into if you want to keep the raw and natural look but not have to periodically sand things back after a sweaty gig.
