Yeah - same.
Andy...
Whilst I've spent a lot of time working on mine, I've not exactly had the chance to browse around and see others too much outside of getting help. I kinda wish I didnt, cause this thing you've made is gorgeous.
Im hoping mine is going to be at least half as good as this when it's done.
... Ok - A little more than half..

Ey Andy, I'm bringing this threat to life because I've just read it very carefully and I've learned a lot from it, I think that many people will do the same and ocasionally you will find again in activity because it's very educational, every step of the process is explained very clear. It should be a reference point for all the future les paul builders XD
And, about the guitar, what can I say? I love it, I really do because I have an identical one, the only difference is that mine has the crome hardware instead of gold and a black pickguard. I love the wine red you have got and love the finish, it's really beautifull, so I have another one hahaha.
A great instrument, congratulations!

Wow thanks antonio. I hope the build diary helps you. I've had a few guitar buffs play this one and all of them have said it sounds and plays as good as a Gibson Les Paul.
I love it and play it almost everyday

The look is exactly like mine, and mine is a model from Gibson, about the sound I can say nothing because still haven't heard the sound test you've uploaded but I'll do it because I'm really curious about it, I'll tell you then.
ey Andy, I've just heard the sound tests, this is the only one I couldn't heard, soundcloud says that the file is not available, but I've heard the other two tests and I can say it's pretty good, now I can say it's a great guitar because it sounds amazing, because in fact this is the secret of everything, the sound, if it sounds good, it is good, and this sounds great.
To say the truth, I cannot say if it sounds better or worse than a LP from Gibson, I've compared with mine and simply sounds different, it has its own personality. The bridge pickup is brilliant, in the high frecuencies it has a very rich sound, so when it's distorted you have very raw distortion, if you would play metal, this guitar would be a killer axe because it would sounds pretty sharp. And the neck pickup has a pretty hotter sound, but also preserves the brilliant sound of the bridge one, also has the rich sound in the high frecuecies and this is something that I've missed sometimes in the Gibson sound, a bit boost in that zone, I suppose that's a characteristic of the Tonerider pickups.
A great work, I wish mine would be as cool as this, is it notice that I love this guitar? hahahaha
wow thanks for the post Antonio and thanks for listening. I look forward to seeing your kit come together.![]()

OK Weirdy or Simon if you are listening.
Since finishing this build, I've pretty much got a list of things I need to tinker with to get it perfect.
One problem I am having though....for some reason there is a noticeable difference in volume between the Neck and Bridge pups, the neck is a lot louder than he bridge!. They are ACII Toneriders (the best humbuckers in the world...just sayin'.)
Pretty sure I got them the right way around when installing and the pup to string height is not the problem....is there anything else I should be looking at?

Is the bridge pup unusually low in output, or is the neck just too loud in comparison?
Scott.
