Hey DrNomis, give me some time with this, the shipment arrived on Friday and we have a tonne of backorders and custom orders to sort through.
Flick me an email if you don't hear anything by Wednesday.
Hey, this thread is 121 pages!! Is this the longest thread on the Forum?
Cheers,
Adam

Hi Doc, trying to make a living solely out of the music industry is very, very tough and as a result not many people make enough to get by.
I'm a little bit older than you but remember when at about 17 or 18 going through similar things and being so obsessed about everything that it tended to dampen the fun factor which is really important because if you are no longer enjoying what you do the outcome is even poorer results, and this rings true for most things in life. These days I haven't played seriously for ages and just noodle around a bit to amuse myself but the best part is that because I am under no pressure things come to me a lot easier than they did before. Also, there are times when you may not be in the 'zone' and that is when nothing seems to be going right. That is a signal to switch off and come back later or another day when you are in a better headspace.
It is fun reading all your threads and posts as you are talented and clearly a very passionate and caring person. As a community here at PBG you have so many followers and supporters who want to see you succeed and hope this is just a point in time where you need to pause and take a break so that you can return refreshed and ready to rip into things again.
Understand your frustration with the Ash body Gold Strat project as I reckon each and every one of us on this forum at some stage has experienced similar setbacks and we are all here to help you get back on the horse so to speak.
If I lived in Darwin I would offer to come around and help you finish it off but sadly I am about 4 hours flying time away. Rather than bin the body I would be willing to finish it off for you if it was posted to me as originally it looked sensational and truly believe you need to show off the grain rather than hide it under a solid metallic colour.
We are all here to help you in any way we can.
Cheers, Waz

Hey cheers for that Waz, much appreciated, I received a pm from one of the other Forum members who offered some words of encouragement, he's one of our newest members, anyway, I think I might have had a relapse of Depression over the last few days, I got diagnosed with Minor Depression a few years ago and got put on some medication, after I came off the medication, I thought I was right as rain, it's looking like I may need to go see the people at the NT Mental Health Services this coming fortnight, and see if they can sort me out.
I have to admit that I enjoy reading other Forum member's posts too, your posts are always interesting to read, we have a huge number of very talented people who make up the Pitbull Guitars community, I feel like I truly belong in this community.

Cheers Doc. I could sense you were a bit down and in need of some genuine encouragement and hope those dark clouds hanging around clear off real soon.

I'm pretty sure all your paint problems are due to having applied Dingotone first and then sanded back down and sprayed. A lot of spray paint formulas don't react well with residual oil or wax, and its very hard to get that out of the wood once it's in there.
A new body should see you going again to finish the gold guitar, whilst your existing body can be stripped back and re-used using Dingotone.
Really hope your trip to the Docs proves fruitful and gets you back feeling OK again. It's a lot easier to see things clearly when you aren't standing in a hole.
Cheers mate, I'm convinced that the issues with the paint is due to the dingotone, what convinced me was that the HotRod Strat body never had any dingotone applied to it, and I had no issues with the paint I used on it.
