    Thanks guys, I'm really stoked with it, apart from some minor blemishes but as I said before , it's a learning thing. It becomes very addictive this guitar building business. Already thinking of the next one. Already have the concept.

    very classy build JB I missed your posts. Is that some sort of burl veneer on the headstock and what stain did you use ? Also what gloss did you use to get that level of gloss ?

    Yep a burl veneer but to be honest not exactly sure what species. The colour and gloss coats are all Nitro. Two coats of vinyl sealer with encore brown on the back side and neck. Front side is the starcast amber with the encore brown around the edges and another blend of the yellow to give it the red hue

    Almost forgot the 8 coats of clear. The last two were 50 50 gloss and thinners. Then the sanding began starting at 400 through to 1200. The polishing was done with meguires cutting compound then swirl remover ( still in process). Got to say I'm sick of sanding, just want to play it now
